I've had a really awful experience here and i hate to have to be doing this but I hope it helps others to not make the mistake i did. I spent a large sum of money on an order for a furniture set along with other bits. I received incorrect info about price, thinking it was cheaper than it was.. then after completion of order i was told its out of stock.. then i was told to go very far to a store to collect my order when i had paid for delivery.. they made no effort to rectify the problem, leaving vague voicemails which were difficult to hear. I'm put on hold for 20 minutes plus each time i call but they cant even be bothered to call/ send an email to their customer as courtesy to explain the mess they've created. Honestly for the price you pay, this is totally unacceptable.
Poor quality furniture, when I told them that the draws were falling apart after a short time they fobbed us off and said we would have to fork out our own money for an inspection! Buyer beware
Lovely products - Rude, uninterested, undertrained staff.We ordered the Mia Sleigh Cotbed, Wardrobe, Changing unit and underbed storage. After building the set we found that the underbed storage drawer did not fit. as per all advertised images of the cot - this drawer was a good 6" short! We called customer services who informed us there were 2 sizes of storage drawers and ,after reviewing our order, confirmed that we had been sold the incorrect size. We asked if we could return it today and pick up a replacement - and they said they would put us through to the Store (Lakeside) so we could ask if they had one in stock and if this would be possible.The store assistant categorically called us liars and said there was only one size, and there was nothing they could do. We insisted that there was 2 and said that this was confirmed online and with the customer service team. The assistant checked with her 'supervisor' and came back again to say no- there is only one size and tough basically. To say I am appalled at the way my wife was spoken to is an understatement. This woman said there has always only been one and that's all we do. I hung up - called customer services back who have now arranged to collect the wrong item and deliver the larger drawer.Frankly - why are your front facing staff under-trained and rude? A simple look at your website shows that there are 2 drawer sizes. A look at your images advertising the cot shows the drawer fitting snugly. How many other people have not complained about a 5 inch gap each side of their under-drawer unit?! Not many I suspect as there are indeed 2 different sizes. This woman was adamant we were wrong, flippant and rude. Disgusting service considering we spent over 1000 on this order.
Mamas & Papas is not the cheapest store I will admit but they are exceptionally good at customer service.I visited this store looking for a pushchair/travel system and was very pleased with the selection available. As they cost A LOT it was reassuring that the staff seemed very honest and were very accommodating of letting us try the products for an extended amount of time. We probably spent over 2 hours there with a break in the middle and didn't feel any pressure to buy to make a decision. The assistant 'Sharon' was wonderful and walked us through all the options - she even said we could go off to get coffee and cake, have a think, and she would take that off our bill if we decided to buy. Now THAT is amazing customer service and really made us want to buy with her. They price-matched Mothercare without a second thought too. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase big orders from there in the future.
