Quality and value are expected, but we had service above and beyond. Well done, M&S!

This review is for the Marks and Spencer's food hall only. We have just been in there for a light snack during our shopping at Lakeside, arriving at around 4pm on a Friday afternoon, it was reasonably busy. The lady at the checkout was pleasant and helpful and we placed our food order. We then chose a table but unfortunately it was fairly close to the exit and particularly drafty, we also over heard another couple at a neighbouring table mention the same thing. Food arrived fairly quickly but sadly my meal wasn't that hot. To summarise, it's convenient because of its location, would I pick this place again, probably not. I wish it had been a better experience but it just wasn't and we can only review it based on our experience.
I was visiting my sister over the Christmas period and decided to pop in to M&S for a bra fitting. The lady on that day (blonde hair and I think a Northern accent) could have not done enough for me. She was so friendly and professional, did not feel rushed as this can take some time, would just like to say a big thank you to her.
Looking to get some Christmas gifts and not surprised that M&S is already well stocked. I do like the fact that they think of everything in advance. I'm always sure to get quality items at fair prices. Don't expect crazy deals here but be sure of quality goods.
